iPhone bootloader 4.6 unlock released

Geohot released the iPhone bootloaderv 4.6 unlock.

++++

geohot's 1.1.2 software unlock

yes, this is what you have all been waiting for

now fixed to support 1.1.3

1. Download these:

gunlock and the secpack from http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/
the 4.02.13 fls from http://george.zjlotto.com/index.php/baseband/

2. Downgrade your phone to 1.0.2. See all the great tutorials online to do this.

Your baseband won't be downgraded, this is normal.

This will probably work on other versions too, but 1.0.2 doesn't lose wifi on bb access.

3. Kill CommCenter and run "gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls"

4. Reload CommCenter. For some reason my phone was in brick mode. Use the elite team bricktool to get out.

5. Enjoy your 1.1.2 OTB unlocked iPhone

Manual - upgrade resistent iPhone unlock released

Manual for the Gehot upgrade resistent IPSF unlock

This new unlock method will be upgrade resistent. This means, your iPhone won´t be relocked after an Firmware upgrade in the Future. This will not work on iPhone 1.1.2 OOTB with bootloader 4.6

It will only work on iPhones with bootloader 3.9!

Download the new package on page 10 posted by SoLaR
hxxp://rap|d$hare.com/files/89384929/ipsftool-1.1.3-3.9_ONLY_-try3.rar

copy the following files to usr/bin

  • debugvirgin
  • ipsf.sh
  • ipsf.sh.bak
  • iUnlock
  • norz
  • precess
  • precess.c
  • secloader
  • secpack
  • bbupdater
  • ICE04.03.13_G.fls
  • ICE04.03.13_G.eep
  • Signal.app
  • signal.plist

give all files 777 permissions
close WIFI

on your iphone bootloader 3.9, open term-vt100and run the following

cd /usr/bin
chmod +x ipsf.sh
ipsf.sh

then follow instructions in terminal/putty

reboot

then use Dev Team Soft-Update to 1.1.3 (if you have not done so already)
and should have 1.1.3 firmware and modem/baseband 04.0313_G

If signal.app is not palced in the Applications folder, manually place it there (0775 permissions) and reboot, then run it manually from the springboard

Quote:
On the 1.1.3 baseband, it relocks on every reset. This is true with real IPSF too. A script to send 'AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000" will fix this, but there should be a better way. Maybe this a feature on the new baseband and the new lockdownd does this.

to re-unlock
install Patched Signal.app for IPSFed BL 3.9 1.1.3 iPhones (add to apps dir 755 permissions)
Get it from: http://r-a-p-i-d-s-h-a-r-e.de/files/38416336/signal.plist.zip.html (remove "-" from URL)
and put it into /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ for Signal.app to automatically run on startup/reboot

or

type the following in terminal

1. # launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
2. # minicom
3. AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000"
4. AT+CLCK="PN",2
5. launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

Copy/backup your seczone to your computer - it will be in /usr/bin
* zip it, name is properly, and file it in case of emergency *

Easy iPhone 1.1.3 jailbreak - no computer needed

This is possibly the most simple way to upgrade and jailbreak your iPhone 1.1.3. You don´t need a computer, everyting is done by the iPhone itself.

What you need is:
iPhone 1.1.2 with jailbreak, wifi connection

Step 1
Set “Autolock” to “Never” in the iPhone Settings

Step 2
Install BSD Subsystem on your iPhone - if not alreadey installed. To do this, install “Community Resorces” via the Installer.app. After this, you will be able to install the “BESD Subsystem”.

Step 3
Add sendowski.de as a ne Source. For doing so, open Installer.app, click “edit”, click “add” and add” http://www.sendowski.de/iphone” as a new source.

Schritt 4
Open Installer, go to “sendowski.e Unlock” and open it.
Now the iPhone 1.1.3 update and the 1.1.3 Jailbreak will be done. This may take 15 minutes or so, depending on your Internet Bandwidth. When it´s done, the iPhone will reboot under Firmware 1.1.3.
That´s all ;)

Official DevTeam Jailbreak 1.1.3 release

The DevTeam released their 1.1.3 Jailbreak. Download it her from rapidshare:
http://rapid+++share.com/files/86938563/Jailbreak-1.1.3.tar.gz.html
Delete the +++ in the path.

Here are the Installing instrcutions:

iPhone 1.1.3 "Soft" Jailbreak
Brought to you by planetbeing, NerveGas, ghost_000, dinopio, bgm, MuscleNerd,
core, and the iPhone-Elite and iPhone/iTouch Dev teams.

OVERVIEW

This "soft" update upgrades a 1.1.2 iPhone/iTouch to 1.1.3. You will require
a v1.1.2 Jailbroke device with the BSD Subsystem v1.5 or greater installed.

This installer does NOT upgrade your baseband. It only creates a log directory
for it, which is needed in 1.1.3. Don't freak out when you see it doing so.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Because this is a soft update, the kernel cache is not upgraded. You will
need to ensure you are on v1.1.2, otherwise this will cause certain DRM
functionality, such as Nikita (Apple's new software installer for the SDK)
to malfunction.

UPGRADE MUST BE PERFORMED FROM 112 TO WORK PROPERLY

IMPORTANT WARNINGS:

1. Set Auto-Lock to "Never" in your settings to prevent the Phone from
locking and shutting down your connection.

2. This installer downloads a significant amount of data from Apple's
website. Be sure you have WiFi turned on so that you don't use your
mobile connection - or you'll be sitting there a while!

3. Be sure to perform this upgrade with the charge cable connected

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Copy this entire distribution to / on your iPhone/iTouch
So you will have /update-prebinding-path.txt and so on

# scp -r ./* root@iphone:/

2. Run the install.sh script:

# sh install.sh

3. The device will perform an upgrade and reboot into 1.1.3

If something DOES go wrong, restore back to 1.1.2 / Jailbroken and try again.

If you get something like illegal hardware instruction, just try rebooting
and it should be updated to 1.1.3.

If you don't get service, try a forced-power-down then power back on.

That's it!

This is great news: The iPhone dev team found a second solution for the iPhone 1.1.3 Jailbreak. They now have accessed the main filesystem "asr" key. This be used by vfdecrypt to produce a mountable dmg. Right now they are going ahead to finalize this second iphone 1.1.3 Jailbreak and the will make it available for the public. This could be done, because they still have the first 1.1.3 Jailbreak method, wich will be kept secret until the release of the iPhone SDK.
