Step by Step

install Term-vt100 via Installer on your jailbreaked iPhone 1.1.2 OOTB
copy the downloaded files to usr/bin on your iPhone. CHMOD all Data to 755
start Term-vt100, press Enter and login with the password dottie or alpine
Paste the following commands in Term-vt100

-“launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist” ENTER
“cd /usr/bin” ENTER
“./gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls” ENTER
“launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist” ENTER

Your baseband won't be downgraded, this is normal.

This will probably work on other versions too, but 1.0.2 doesn't lose wifi on bb access.

3. Kill CommCenter and run "gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls"

4. Reload CommCenter. For some reason my phone was in brick mode. Use the elite team bricktool to get out.

5. Enjoy your 1.1.2 OTB unlocked iPhone

and should have 1.1.3 firmware and modem/baseband 04.0313_G

If signal.app is not palced in the Applications folder, manually place it there (0775 permissions) and reboot, then run it manually from the springboard

Easy iPhone 1.1.3 jailbreak - no computer needed

This is possibly the most simple way to upgrade and jailbreak your iPhone 1.1.3. You don´t need a computer, everyting is done by the iPhone itself.

What you need is:
iPhone 1.1.2 with jailbreak, wifi connection

Step 1
Set “Autolock” to “Never” in the iPhone Settings

Step 2
Install BSD Subsystem on your iPhone - if not alreadey installed. To do this, install “Community Resorces” via the Installer.app. After this, you will be able to install the “BESD Subsystem”.

Step 3
Add sendowski.de as a ne Source. For doing so, open Installer.app, click “edit”, click “add” and add” http://www.sendowski.de/iphone” as a new source.

Schritt 4
Open Installer, go to “sendowski.e Unlock” and open it.
Now the iPhone 1.1.3 update and the 1.1.3 Jailbreak will be done. This may take 15 minutes or so, depending on your Internet Bandwidth. When it´s done, the iPhone will reboot under Firmware 1.1.3.
That´s all ;)

This "soft" update upgrades a 1.1.2 iPhone/iTouch to 1.1.3. You will require

1. Copy this entire distribution to / on your iPhone/iTouch
So you will have /update-prebinding-path.txt and so on

2. Run the install.sh script:

3. The device will perform an upgrade and reboot into 1.1.3

If something DOES go wrong, restore back to 1.1.2 / Jailbroken and try again.

If you get something like illegal hardware instruction, just try rebooting
and it should be updated to 1.1.3.

If you don't get service, try a forced-power-down then power back on.

This is great news: The iPhone dev team found a second solution for the iPhone 1.1.3 Jailbreak. They now have accessed the main filesystem "asr" key. This be used by vfdecrypt to produce a mountable dmg. Right now they are going ahead to finalize this second iphone 1.1.3 Jailbreak and the will make it available for the public. This could be done, because they still have the first 1.1.3 Jailbreak method, wich will be kept secret until the release of the iPhone SDK.

The iPhone Dev Team finally made it: The did the jailbreak for the iPhone 1.1.3.
The iPhoe Dev Team will release the jailbreak 1.1.3 in February. This late release Date is, because the iPhone Dev Team will prevent, that Apple can react before the official SDK Release of the iPhone and close the doors again. If Turbosim Cards will work after the iPhone 1.1.3 jailbreak isn´t known yet. Stay tunes for updates!

iPhone 1.1.3 Hardware Unlock

The first Hardware unlock for the iPhone 1.1.3 has been done in Vietnam.
The Status of the project is the following:

Unlock the iPhone with firmware 1.1.3 (baseband 4.03.13)
Downgrade the phone to 1.1.2 then jailbreak it for normally using.
Phone will work at: firmware 1.1.2 and baseband 4.03.13.

gearlive.com claims to have tested the upcoming iPhone Firmware 1.1.3.

They are showing some screenshots of 1.1.3 and are writing about new Features of iPhone Firmware 1.1.3. The new Features are:

Locate Me Service - Some kind of gps working with google maps, based o GSM Data - pretty much the same as the Navizon service

Chinese Software Unlock iPhone 1.1.2 OOTB

It seems like some Chinese people finally got a method to unlock the iPhone 1.1.2 via Software. They are claiming to have the know how about the unlock process and are now working on a Software release. The release of the iphone ootb 1.1.2 bootloader 4.6 unlock could be in the next few days. As I understand the people managed to hack some RSA encryption in order to unlock the 1.1.2 OOTB iPhone.

Be aware: Don´t buy anytuing, until evereything has been proved by the community.

unlocknewiphones is starting it´s presale iPhone ootb 1.1.2 bootloader 4.6 unlock. A few days ago they claimed to have found a method to unlock the ootb 1.1.2 bootloader 4.6 unlock. As they are writing on their website they have to handle all unlock procedures manually because they nor have the technology neither the server power to do this automatically.
The preorder will be done via paypal and will cost 25 US $.
I think you people should be cautious with this "company". It just could be a scam. We will be reporting any news about this offer. If anyone of you has a orderd the Firmware 1.1.2 bootloader 4.6 unlock please leave a short comment.

Austrian discounter sells simlockfree iPhone today

The Austrian discounter "Penny Markt" starts selling a simlock free iPhone at its shops for 799 Euro starting today. The iPhone is available at specific stores in Vianna, Salzburg and Graz. Penny is selling the simlock free iphone also via their webshop. I think this is pretty good news for all European iPhone customers. Also the price is 50 Euro above the simlock free french iPhone offer. But it´s another great step for geting more simlockfree iPhones on the market.

unlocknewiphones.com is claiming to release a software unlock for the iPhone OOB 1.1.2 Bootloader 4.6 during the next few days. They can´t promise that the unlock will work on formerly jailbroken iPhones OOTB 1.1.2

As there is no more information on the site about who they are and where they are from this anouncement has to be taken with care. The site is registered via bigdaddy... But if it´s true and they found a way to software unlock the iPhone 1.1.2 with bootloader 4.6 they certainly will make some big business.
So, let´s hope for all those owners of an iPhone OOTB 1.1.2, Bootloader 4.6 they found a solution!

Jailbreak iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 in 4 easy Steps

This is an easy guide to jailbreak the OOTB iPhone 1.1.2
Up to now it is not possible to unlock the iPhone OOTB 1.1.2. The only way to get this phone working with full phone abilities, is to use a trurbosim card. But what you can do is use your iPhone 1.1.2 as some kind of iPod Touch. Jailbreaking the iPhone Firmware 1.1.2 is a more or less easy procedure. So give it a try and activate and jailbreak your iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 with this easy manual.

Part 1 - DOWNLOADING FILES

Download the apple 1.1.1 firmware file:

Part 2 - DOWNGRADING FROM 1.1.2 TO 1.1.1

Install iTunes if not already installed

-Connect your iPhone via USB to your Computer, Itunes starts and you see the ACTIVATION Screen
-Click the MENU and THE POWER BUTTON at the same time and keep pressing them until Itunes tells you that it has detected that your Iphone is in recovery Mode, this could take something from 10 seconds to 30 seconds, so keep pressing both buttons until you get the message
-Once you get the message dismiss the warning message in Itunes (Itunes has detected .....) by pressing OK and now you have 2 options , the first is Search for Updates and the second, that we will use is RECOVER

BEFORE YOU PRESS ON THE RECOVER BUTTON YOU NEED TO PRESS YOUR SHIFT BUTTON IN WINDOWS (OPTIONS BUTTON IN MAC) AND THEN PRESS RECOVER

Now a "Browse your files" window will open, go and chose the firmware 1.1.1 file you have downloaded in step 1 and press open

Itunes will start downgrading your iphone (this takes some time) and the downgrade process will end up with an error message 1013 or 1015 THIS IS VERY NORMAL

Next if you are using Windows open Ibrickr and chose the Option "Reboot my Iphone" to kick your Iphone out of the Recovery Mode

On Mac use iNdependence to kick the phone out of recovery mode http://independence.googlecode.com/

Now you iphone will restart and you will have an ACTIVATION PAGE on your iphone with the nice round World image.

Part 3 - ACTIVATE AND JAILBREAK

Before you complete this part MAKE SURE that the AT&T Sim card is in your phone

Now, you are on the activation screen that says slide to make an emergency call, slide to get to the keypad and then do the following:

Dial *#307# and hit call

The iPhone will now start to ring itself, once it start to ring you have to erase *#307# by using the backslash button on your iphone and then type 0 and then CALL, the iphone will ring again and this time hit "Answer" then hit "Hold", the Phone will start to ring itself again, this time click "Decline".

Now on the screen you should be able to get to the contacts menu down the bottom, tap "Contacts" and then add a contact. Use the following instructions:

Add the Name "Testing" and tap save
Tap "Add URL" and type "prefs://1F" then tap save
Tap "Add URL" again and type "http://jailbreakme.com" then tap save

When this is done, tap "Save" again and it will take you to the contact page displaying the name "Test" and the two URLs you just added. Tap the "prefs://1F" URL and it will open the iPhone Settings page.

Tap "General" and Then "Auto-Lock", set it to "Never".

Go back to the settings page

From here, tap WiFi and Add your WiFi network and make sure you are connected to it

Now, hit the Menu button to go back to the Activation Screen, slide and dial the number 0, the iPhone will now ring itself again, tap answer, then hold, then decline just like before.

Now, hit contacts again and then Testing, this time go to the "http://jailbreakme.com" URL and scroll to the bottom and
click on "Install AppSnapp".

Safari will now close and your iPhone will now go back to the Activation Screen.

Once you get to the activation screen slide to get to the dial pad again and when you do this iPhone will restart by itself and thats it, your now activated and jailbroken.

Part 4 - UPGRADE TO FIRMWARE 1.1.2 & ACTIVATE AND JAILBREAK

- Press INSTALLER on the iPhone
Update if you are asked to (Do nit forget after the update installs press the HOME button, it will take you back to the SLIDE TO UNLOCK page )

-Now open your ITUNES on your PC or MAC and press on the name of your IPHONE in the left colum, this will take you to the page with UPDATE or RESTORE buttons

On your IPHONE clikc on INSTALLER and press on TWEAKS 1.1.1 and press and install Oktoprep, once it is installed it will give you a message on your iphone saying "YOUR PHONE IS NOW READY TO BE UPGRADED TO 1.1.2 ........" press OK and then press the HOME button and it will take you back to the SLIDE TO UNLOCK.

- Your ITUNES is still open on your PC or MAC now press UPDATE and ITUNES will update your iphone to FIRMWARE 1.1.2 and this time you will not get an error message like the last time when you downgraded to 1.1.1
When the Update is finished you will get a picture of a plug that will appear on your iPhone and you will have the page SLIDE TO UNLCOK but written in French

Quit iTunes
-download and unpack 1.1.2 Jailbreak: http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/1.1.2-jailbreak.zip

Open jailbreak.jar and press on JAILBREAK
Finally you will get a message "Your Phone will reboot a couple of times ...... "

Let the reboots happen. You will get back to the SLIDE to UNLOCK screen

That´s it!
Your iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 is now jailbroken and activated

Video Recording on the iPhone

There is now a possibility to record and playback Videos on the Apple iPhone. This native iPhone Application works on iPhone 1.1.1 an 1.1.2. The Video Application for the iPhone is still Beta. Up to now it records videos of 5 seconds duration. Ok, this is really not to much, but it´s is a pretty promising start for recording Videos on your iPhone. As the App is still Beta, we maybe will see improvements of the recording time in future release. I think this will lead us to wifi video conferencing over the iPhone.

A German guy claims to have found a solution to unlock iPhone Firmware 1.1.2 OOTB without turbosim. As he shows in this Video, which appeared recently on youtube, he is willing to sell his solution. The video shows an US iPhone Firmware 1.1.2 OOTB without turbosim running not t-mobile but an other provider called e-plus.
If this is real and he really managed to do an sim unlock on a iPhone Firmware 1.1.2 OTB without turbosim he´ll probaly earn a bunch of money. This could be real big business...

Update: Seems this was a fake. So the only solution to get the iPhone 1.1.2 OOTB running is to look for a Turbosim on ebay.

unlocker got dissuasion - dev team close to the unlock solution

The berlin guy who claimed to unlock iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 got a dissuation from Apple and was forced to remove his services from his site.

Again we have to wait until the iPhone Dev Team comes up with a Solution. This could happen soon because the rumor mills are telling that Apple is to release Firmware Update 1.1.3 this Saturday. This Update is needed for using it´s secpac in order to get the iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 unlock done. As you can read in this thread, the 1.1.3 secpac is the last piece missing for the long awited iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 simunlock. So let´s hope the best it seems we are close to a happy ending in unlocking iPhone OOTB 1.1.2.

iPhone OTB 1.1.2 simunlocked at a berlin headshop

A german guy running his business out of a headshop in Berlin finally did it:
He found a method to software unlock iPhones OTB 1.1.2 bootloader 4.6
He claimed to publish his method next month. Until this he will provide this service for 120 Euro (app. 175 US $).
He says, he reads out the EMEI and generates a code out of it. This code will unlock the iPhone OTB 1.1.2. Generating this code will take up to 48 hours. So I guess he´s using some brute force technique.

The facts:

He states to have a 'real unlock for 1.1.2 OTB

He knows what BL4.6 is apparently and states his unlock is full functional with it

He states his unlock resists all updates

He claims it is like a real factory unlock from AT&T

The guy set his website "under construction" and pulled off all information about the iPhone 1.1.2 unlock. He states he received a dissuasion and was forced to do this. He still claims to have found a method to software unlock iphones OOTB 1.1.2 with bootloader 4.6
